This training will give you a basic understanding of the structure and function of skin and the phases of wound healing. Participants will also learn the difference between acute and chronic wounds and the humanistic and financial burdens of wounds.

  • Describe the structure and functions of the major layers of the skin and underlying structures
  • Distinguish between partial and full thickness wounds
